ABOUT Mission “Voice and Hands of a Friend”
Our Story
Mission “Voice and Hands of a Friend” (Mission VHF) is a 501C3 non-profit organization established in 2007 by Aleksandr S. Zaytsev. Mission VHF started its work in Wenatchee, WA, by serving thousands of warm meals to the local homeless population for several years, along with additional projects that benefitted those in need.
In 2011, another branch was added to the Mission VHF ministry in the face of an outreach to Ukraine. A base team of missionaries started doing hands-on work in Eastern Ukraine while receiving support from our organization. Alex Zaytsev Jr. moved to Ukraine, permanently becoming a missionary in 2014, and has since been a great addition to the team. The team has grown exponentially since then. In 2014, Aleksandr’s daughter, Olga Rybakov, became the president of Mission VHF. Her passion for the ministry is evident. The members offer their services to the community free of charge.
In 2022, the organization's mission became most evident after the full-scale war broke out in Ukraine. The need became great, while the desire to help became greater.
